COVID-19 Tax Update: Extension to T3 Filing Deadline for Off-Calendar Year Trusts

The Canada Revenue Agency again updated its website which sets forth the extended filing due dates for various entities as a result of COVID-19 (link). This time, the CRA extended to June 1, 2020 the deadline to file a T3 return for any trust with an off-calendar taxation year that would otherwise have a filing due date in April or May. The extended filing deadline for T3 trust returns that would otherwise be required to be filed between March 18, 2020 and April 1, 2020 remains at May 1, 2020.
