Job Posting: Collections Clerk (Vancouver)

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented Collections Clerk to be an integral part of our accounting team. This is a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities
• Accounts receivable management – monitor overdue accounts and outstanding balances
• Customer communication – professionally communicate with clients on outstanding amounts
• Record keeping – Maintain accurate records of communications, payments, and transactions.
• Payment processing
• Regulatory compliance – ensure compliance with firm policies and legal regulations related to collections and debt recovery. Initiate legal action when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Communication – Strong verbal and written skills
• Exceptional organizational skills. Capable of managing multiple accounts.
• Detail oriented – ability to review records and detect discrepancies
• Negotiation – Negotiate payment plans and settlements
• Technical – Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
• Flexibility to handle diverse tasks and respond to changing priorities effectively
Experience Preferred
• 3-5+ years experience in collections, preferably within a law firm or other professional services environment.
• Familiarity with legal billing systems is considered an asset.
