Thorsteinssons lawyers feature prominently in Supreme Court decision

The Supreme Court of Canada has allowed the taxpayer’s appeal in the Daishowa appeal. The Court decided that the cost of reforestation obligations did not represent additional proceeds but was instead a future obligation that reduced the inherent value of the tenure. Thorsteinssons LLP lawyers Warren Mitchell, Ian Gamble and Leah Plumridge acted as counsel for four forest companies in the appeal and the Court cited publications by Thorsteinssons LLP lawyers Michael Colborne and Ian Gamble in its reasons.
