Carmina Chan is an associate at the firm’s Vancouver office.
Carmina has completed a Masters in Taxation at the University of Sherbrooke in 2013. She received her Bachelor of Laws (JD) from the University of Ottawa in 2010 and is a member of the Quebec Bar Association since 2011.
Prior to joining Thorsteinssons, Carmina clerked for various judges of the Tax Court of Canada, and has worked in tax planning in a tax boutique firm and within the international team of a large accounting firm. She also worked as a tax writer at Thomson Reuters, where she published a variety of articles and checklists in the fields of tax planning and tax litigation available on Taxnet Pro.
Carmina has collaborated in writing “La fiscalité internationale et interprovinciale au Québec – Étude pour la Commission d’examen sur la fiscalité québécoise” for the Quebec Taxation Review Committee. She is also a member of The Law Society of Ontario since 2013. Carmina is fluent and proficient in French.
