Ryan obtained both his Bachelor of Commerce (Real Estate) and Juris Doctor from the University of British Columbia. While at UBC Law he was the recipient of several awards including the Thorsteinssons Prizes for Taxation I and Taxation II.
After completing his articles with Thorsteinssons, Ryan was admitted to the Law Society of British Columbia in 2011.
